k-bow

The first project I worked on out of school, the K-Bow:

is a completely unique MIDI controller that takes information from the gestures and movements of a violin bow and translates it into MIDI Bluetooth controller data. The K-Bow system is comprised of a sensor bow and a removable emitter attached to the underside of the fingerboard. K-Bow measures bow position, acceleration, pressure and grip to control your favorite digital performance workspace- or our own suite of software. K-Bow is constructed with the highest quality carbon fiber stick and perfectly balanced for optimum performance. K-Bow was designed for violin, viola, cello, and bass.
